These terms are an agreement between Walk-in Ordering ("we", "us") and the business that buys Platform Access ("you", "the café"). By paying for or using the platform you agree to them. If you're signing up for a business, you confirm you're allowed to do so on its behalf.
1. The service
Platform Access gives your venue:
- Café Admin to manage your menu, prices, stock, tables and QR codes, staff logins, branding, guest payment methods and analytics.
- The staff app: a live order queue for phones and tablets.
- Guest ordering: a browser page, opened from each table's QR code, where guests order and follow their order's status.
We keep improving the platform and may add, change or retire features. We won't remove a core part of the service (menu, tables, guest ordering, staff queue) during a period you've already paid for.
2. Your account
- Keep your login details and your staff's logins secure. You're responsible for what happens under your café's account.
- Give staff only the role they need, and remove their login when they leave.
- Tell us promptly through the contact form if you think your account has been accessed without permission.
3. Fees and payment
- Platform Access is sold for a monthly, quarterly or yearly period at the price shown on our pricing page when you pay. Prices are in Indian rupees, and the amount shown at checkout is the amount charged.
- Each payment is a one-off charge through Razorpay for the period you choose. It does not renew automatically. To continue, you buy another period.
- If a period ends without a new payment, guest ordering and the staff queue may be paused. Your menu, tables and order history are kept as set out in our privacy policy.
- Refunds are covered by our refund and cancellation policy.
4. Payments from your guests
Guests pay you directly by cash, UPI or bank transfer, using the details you enter in Café Admin. We don't collect, hold or pass on money paid by your guests, and we aren't a party to the sale between you and your guest. Staff marking an order "paid" only updates the record in the platform.
5. Your responsibilities as a venue
- Your menu, prices, taxes, allergen and dietary information, and descriptions are your responsibility, and must be accurate and lawful.
- You're responsible for the food and drink you serve, fulfilling orders, and handling guest complaints and refunds.
- You must hold any licences your business needs, including food safety registration, and meet your own tax obligations.
- Photos, logos and text you upload must be yours or used with permission.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use the platform to:
- sell anything illegal, or break any law or regulation;
- upload harmful code, or try to access another café's data or our systems without permission;
- overload, scrape, reverse engineer or resell the service; or
- mislead guests about who they are ordering from or what they are paying.
We may suspend an account that breaks these rules, and we'll tell you why unless the law prevents it.
7. Your data
You own your café's content and order data. You give us permission to store and process it only to run the service for you. How we handle personal data is described in our privacy policy.
8. Availability
We work to keep the platform available at all times, but it depends on the internet, your devices and third-party providers, and we can't promise it will never be interrupted. Keep a simple backup for taking orders, such as a paper pad at the counter, in case of an outage. We'll try to schedule maintenance outside typical service hours.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is". We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost sales. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for Platform Access in the 3 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
10. Ending the service
You can stop using the platform at any time and simply not buy another period. We may end or suspend access for a serious breach of these terms, or with 30 days' notice for any other reason, in which case we'll refund any unused part of a period you've paid for.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and email café owners about material changes before they take effect. Using the platform after that means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of India. Before going to court, please contact us. Most issues can be sorted out quickly.
